Titanium Grade 1 flanges are widely recognized for their outstanding corrosion resistance, especially in oxidizing environments. As the softest and most ductile among all commercially pure titanium grades, Grade 1 offers excellent formability and weldability, making it a preferred choice for low-pressure and low-temperature applications where corrosion is a primary concern. These G 1 flanges are particularly suitable for all related industries that operate in aggressive media, including saltwater, chemical compounds, chemical reaction and chloride-rich environments.
Grade 1 Titanium flanges are manufactured with precise dimensional accuracy and are offered in multiple configurations such as slip-on, weld neck, blind, socket weld, and threaded types to suit diverse application needs. Their chemically inert nature provides long-term durability and dependable performance in critical operational systems. These flanges also exhibit a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them a desirable component in systems requiring both durability and reduced weight.
Our distribution network serves key industrial hubs across India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kuwait, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, Iran, and Iraq. With a robust logistical framework and supply consistency, we ensure timely delivery and technical support across these regions.
Technical Overview
UNS R50250, classified as Titanium Grade 1, is a non-alloyed form of titanium distinguished by its superior ductility and softness, making it the most formable among the commercially pure titanium grades despite having lower tensile strength. Composed of at least 99.5% pure titanium, this grade contains tightly regulated trace elements like iron, oxygen, and nitrogen to optimize its resistance to corrosive environments. These flanges demonstrate excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including seawater, chlorides, and acidic compounds such as nitric and hydrochloric acid.
From a mechanical perspective, Titanium Grade 1 flanges offer a tensile strength of approximately 240 MPa (35 ksi) and yield strength of around 170 MPa (25 ksi), with elongation reaching up to 24%. TThis combination of characteristics makes them well-suited for environments where resistance to corrosion is more critical than structural strength. Additionally, they exhibit exceptional biocompatibility and thermal stability, maintaining performance in environments with temperatures ranging up to 400°C (752°F). Their unique balance of properties is particularly advantageous in settings where protecting against corrosion takes precedence over load-bearing performance.
Applications & Industry Use
Titanium Grade 1 flanges are extensively used in sectors where corrosion resistance is critical to system integrity and longevity. In the chemical processing industry, they are employed in acid storage tanks, reactors, and piping systems handling aggressive fluids. The marine industry utilizes these flanges for desalination plants, offshore platforms, and shipbuilding components due to their resistance to seawater and saline atmospheres.
In aerospace applications, these flanges contribute to reduced weight and enhanced fuel efficiency, particularly in hydraulic systems and airframes. They are also vital in power generation facilities, especially in condenser tubing and heat exchanger systems exposed to corrosive steam and condensates. Moreover, in medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, their biocompatibility ensures safe handling of sensitive substances and fluids.
Across the Middle East and South Asia—including India, UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Iran, and Iraq—demand for Titanium Grade 1 flanges continues to grow in infrastructure projects, offshore energy development, and chemical production. Our ability to supply high-precision, globally compliant flanges tailored to regional requirements ensures long-term partnerships and reliable system performance.
