F22 grade is usually used as the base metal for clad components. This grade is available in tempered or normalized conditions. It has good proof of stress. It has a moderate amount of molybdenum that adds excellent corrosion resistance, even to crevice and pitting corrosion in the chloride environments.

This grade is annealed too. Alloy Steel F22 Slip on Flanges can be easily forged at a temperature between 1000 degree C and 1200 degree C, however above exposure is not recommended. The low carbon composition ensures no heavy scaling has occurred, also excessive soak times still avoided to prevent grain size. Machining operations are performed in the annealed conditions. These flanges are available in different sizes ranging from 1/2" (15 NB) to 48" (1200NB). A benefit of using alloy steel F22 socket weld flange is that they have a good performance even in harsh environments.

Our Alloy Steel F22 Threaded Flanges can be steam – cleaned and sterilized and does not need paint or other surface finishes.
